Full-Stack Engineer.

A California-based technology and software firm is looking for an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to join their expanding team in San Francisco.

The firm is looking to add to their San Francisco team. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will work in an environment that allows you to make impactful changes to others’ lives. You will be working across the entire Web stack; collaborating closely with other engineers, product managers, designers. You will also be contributing to the product-development process, develop intuitive UIs and powerful scalable backend APIs, write well-tested, maintainable code, and help drive the direction of the company’s growing architecture.

To be part of the team, the organisation is looking for an individual who: 

• Loves making beautiful, and delightful Web experiences
• Has been building Web applications professionally for 3+ years
• Has experience working at a startup
• Has experience with frontend frameworks e.g., React, Angular, or Ember
• Is fluent in a programming language such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Go, C, or Java (the company’s stack is mostly JavaScript, but they love and welcome polyglots.)
•  Is familiar with CSS, and CSS preprocessors such as Sass or LESS
• Is  a strong communicator. Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers is not an issue for you.
• Is able to balance idealism with pragmatism
• Currently lives in, or are willing to relocate to, the San Francisco Bay Area
• Ideally has experience with open source
• Has built and maintained complex Web front-ends with React
• Has experience with testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, Karma, QUnit, Cypress, or TestCafe
• Has experience with backend frameworks, such as Express, Rails, or Django
• Has experience with build tools such as Lerna, Yarn, or Webpack 
• Is comfortable writing raw SQL, and understand how ORMs work
