DevOps Engineer.

A US-based banking and finance firm specialising in retail-banking services, is looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer to join their team in New York. 

While serving millions of existing customers in retail banking as well as a multitude of other financial services, the organisation aims to reinvent banking with a unique combination of best-in-class banking services and unparalleled technology. 

The firm is looking to expand their team, and looking for an individual that is independent, results-driven and is able to lead all DevOps activities in the company. As the lead DevOps Engineer, you will be helping to build innovative banking technology solutions/products from the ground up, be responsible for leading the infrastructure work for a bank, work with the latest cloud services and many existing partners for security, data analysis, software quality, and more.

The organisation is also looking for individuals with scripting experience who can deploy product updates, identify production issues, implement integrations that meet customer needs, and improve customer experience, while executing and automating operational processes fast, accurately, and securely.

• Have 5+ years of experience as a Security / DevOps / SecOps Engineer
• Have hands-on experience with scripting languages; Bash & Python
• Have a deep understanding and knowledge of best practices DevOps and CICD process
• Have vast hands-on experience managing production workloads on AWS
• Have an in-depth knowledge of scalability and high-availability options on AWS
• Are proficient with k8s and AWS container orchestration services (EKS / ECS)
• Ideally are experienced with cloud monitoring tools
• Ideally are experienced with Jenkins 
• Ideally have experience with provisioning and managing databases (RDS / ElastiCache / ELK)
• Ideally have a background in IT Administration 

As the lead DevOps Engineer, you will: 

• Design and configure AWS-based infrastructure to be performant, scalable, and available at all times 
• Manage networking and security configurations (VPC, IAM, Security groups, etc.)
• Monitor and maintain applications and infrastructure workloads
• Deploy and integrate new tools and services from vendors and partners
